There were a surprising amount of repetitive looks at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. From the various photocalls to all the premieres, repeat performers seemed pretty commonplace for a festival that’s known for amazing, one-of-a-kind creations. Cannes wasn’t the only place we were seeing double, though. Alexander McQueen’s crepe cut-out gown and Suno’s graphic romper both earned second showings. Sofia served as a jury member at this year’s film festival and in keeping with her jury duty, the filmmaker attended several premieres. She tends to favor Louis Vuitton, but the director opted for an indigo Michael Kors studded Spring 2014 keyhole dress capped off by black ankle strap platforms at the Foxcatcher unveiling. Nina also shined in the embellished creation when she participated in The Paley Center for Media’s PaleyFest 2014 event honoring The Vampire Diaries and The Originals back in March. LinaNoel jewelry, Edie Parker’s silver Jean clutch, black Aperlaï sandals and a bow-topped hairstyle wrapped up the look. Was Sofia underdressed for Cannes or should Nina have toned it down for PaleyFest?
