We’re obsessed with Hannah Simone and her character, Cece, on Fox’s New Girl. We had the pleasure of chatting with her about Cece and Schmidt’s future and most importantly, her beauty routine. “It’s kind of cool this season because everybody is single. No one has any tension or things to resolve with one another, everyone is just kind of working on themselves. Schmidt and Cece are just friends and it’s nice that she has another close friend in the group because of what they have overcome, and you can tell that she and Schmidt have a real connection without the romantic aspect,” said the actress about the current season.
On camera and off, the brunette beauty was blessed with perfect skin, shiny hair and has some sound advice when it comes to what she learned from a young age.
“I do very little — very, very little. I have never had a facial or visited a dermatologist. It’s a very strange thing, but I’ve always had good skin. My family moved all the time, so I got to be around a lot of interesting women who all had very different [beauty] routines and used different things. In England, I remember fashion magazines would come wrapped with free products like sunglasses, a scarf or beauty products. I remember once there was a face wash in there, so I tried it and for the first time ever, I broke out. Afterward, my dad of all people sat me down and told me ‘We have been taught to buy all these products under the assumption that there is something wrong. Nothing is wrong with you that you need to go and buy this medicated face wash. It’s OK to have a little bit of dirt on your face. And your skin looks great, so leave it alone.’ I don’t remember how young I was, but it really stuck with me and I just leave my skin alone,” explained Hannah.
If only we were all so lucky! The actress has since found some products that work with her skin, not against. Check out what she had to say about her favorite ones below.
